great for canoeing     On: 2010-08-26

I bought two of these vests for canoeing this summer, and have used them several times already. They fit very well, are easy to adjust, an

d look good to boot. One important note is that they are not intended for an unconscious wearer, as the person would probably float face down. This is very clearly stated on the tag as per USCG Safety standards.
An excellent product for my purpose, canoeing on a calm lake.
Wicked comfy for the money!!     On: 2010-08-16

I got this for my husband who has a very broad chest & this fit him great!! We would recommend this to any one!!! Although he has not been in the water with it yet to say it held him up in the water....Haha I would hope it would!!
Nice Vest     On: 2010-07-28

I needed two vest for my boat that would fit young, 8-12 yr. olds. These vests were used for swimming and they held up nicely. Well worth the cost.
good for some; too long for me     On: 2010-05-23

My boyfriend and I both bought one of these. He is 61" and got the L/XL; I am 54" and got the SM/M. It fit fine and was very comfortable on me while standing in the store (actually has boob room compared to some very flat competitor vests, even though it is unisex).

However, when I sat in the kayak, I discovered the jacket was too long. So it pushed up about 5 inches above each shoulder and I struggled with the front of the vest hitting my throat. I will be returning this jacket, but boyfriend was fine and will be keeping his. Not recommended if you have a short upper body and will be sitting down. If youll be standing on your boat or have a long upper body, this vest is good.
Good but..     On: 2010-04-13

I use two of these in an inflatable canoe (Sevylor Colorado) and let me say that I havent tested the floating abilities of this jacket.
I am somewhat muscular but wear M-sized shirts for a snug fit (no, not skin-tight, but I dont like it when clothes are too loose). This PFD fits me fine.

What I dont like about it is that it rides up with use - both for me and for my smaller companions who probably need M- or S-sized PFDs. This PFD ends up squeezing at my neck and I have to continuously pull it down. Maybe I should have gotten a PFD which has mesh shoulder straps. Other than that, the price is really good and I cant imagine why some of the other PFDs cost $90+.
It fits.     On: 2009-07-14

I normally wear 4XL shirts. This jacket fits well with a little extra room to extend the fasteners (except the top, which is near full extension). Its comfortable enough to wear the whole time on board if necessry.

Bought two for my son as a gift. Not boating weather here now but presume will fulfill their purpose as they are USCG certified on the tag. Nice looking. Snug fit with all the straps. He tried them on and felt that they fit well, were easily adjusted, and allowed for a nice range of arm motion without abrasion.
If they hold up once used, we will be well pleased.
I saved money on this purchase.     On: 2008-09-30

Even with end of summer sales I still saved money on this purchase.
USCG Approved Nylon life jacket and fits well. Need I say more.
Fits like a glove     On: 2008-08-19

When wearing a vest in a boat for safety, the most important thing is the fit and these are comfortable to wear. If not you will likely not be wearing it when you need it.

If you have tried to wear a neoprene vest you know they are tight and hot unless you are in the water using it.

This vest has heavy duty buckles and straps that are easy to adjust.

The vest has a large range of adjustment since it can cover two sizes, which is great for guests on the boat.

We donated all the mismatched vests on the boat and replaced them with these vests so everyone gets a quality vest that fits.

Better safe than sorry...
