This vest is very lightweight with a short torso and large arm openings making it ideal for paddling, beach catamaran sailing or any activity that requires freedom of movement. My only complaint is that the grommets used for drain holes in the pockets are not brass or stainless steel and have already started to rust and discolor the vest.
